Join us for Echoes of the Catskills — a cozy afternoon of poetry rooted in the land we live on, love, and wander.
We’re bringing together two local poets, Guy Reed (Time Under The Overlook) and Rich Parisio (Trailside Register), whose work is inspired by the Catskills, the changing seasons, and the quiet moments in nature that speak louder than words.
Whether you’re a lifelong poetry lover or just in it for the mountain metaphors and good company, this is a moment to gather, listen, and connect.
Where: Kenco Outfitters – 1000 Hurley Mountain Road, Kingston, NY
When: Sunday, October 5
Time: 1:00 to 3:00PM
What: Readings by local poets
Cost: Free to attend — RSVP encouraged so we can plan seating. Copies of both books available for purchase before and during the event
Space is limited - please RSVP below. We'd love to see you there.
About the Poets
Guy Reed: Stuck at home during the early days of the pandemic, Guy realized he'd lived in one place, at the base of Overlook Mountain, for more than two decades - longer than he'd lived anywhere else. His poetry considers what it means to be rooted in place, surrounded by nature.
Richard Parisio: A naturalist with the NYS DEC for twenty five years, Rich has served the Catskills and the Hudson Valley and developed a keen eye for nature and has a gift for metaphor. He believes you don't need to travel very far to learn from nature - just step out the door.
