20' Ash Wood Gunwale — Non‑Kerfed Inwale (Replacement Gunwale)
This is our 20' ash wood, non‑kerfed inwale, built for strength, longevity, and compatibility across multiple canoe types. It can be used as an inwale on composite boats, or as both inwale and outwale on Royalex, T‑Formex, or other plastic canoes up to 19.
Sold individually. Most canoes repairs require four gunwales (two inwales + two outwales).
We’ve standardized on the Mad River “D”‑shaped profile because it’s durable, classic, and works beautifully on most boats. But if you need your gunwales cut to a different length, or shaped to match another brand, we can probably do that for you. Just ask — we’re happy to help.
