We took this boat in to try and sell for a good friend to the store. Our friend is the original owner of this kayak. It was built for him by a local craftsman from a Chesapeake Light Craft Design. The owner's occupation has him traveling often and for long periods of time. Unfortunately he really has never had the opportunity to paddle this boat. This is a Beautiful boat - pictures can't really capture it. It looks great on a wall but it also shines in the water. This boat comes with a sail kit which is not in the picture. To be honest we are kayakers not sailors and didn't want to embarrass ourselves by trying to put it together. All of the parts are included.

This Boat is:

13' Long

36" Wide

40Lbs

Made with Okume Mahogany and reinforced with full fiberglass sheathing and epoxy

watertight bulkheads

includes rudder

includes Greenland paddle and sailing rig

this is the description of the Kayak from Chesepeake Light Craft:

"Ever since Wooden Boat Magazine featured the Mill Creek 13 in a two-issue spread in 1997, thousands of Mill Creek models have been built. And why not? They look good, they're easy to build, and even though they are more stable than most kayaks, the Mill Creeks™ offer good speed and handling that you'll never get tired of.

The Mill Creek was designed as a wider, shorter, and more stable alternative to the typical sea kayak. It offers the stability sought by nature photographers, fly fishermen, and birders. The most versatile paddling designs in our lineup, the Mill Creeks are true high-performance boats. That is, if high performance is defined as comfort, good handling, rewarding speed, stability, and classic good looks. Originally drawn as stable and compact complements to our more traditional sea kayaks, the Mill Creeks™ have found fans among paddlers of all skill levels because they offer so much boat in such a light and easy-to-manage package.

Mahogany trim on cockpits and rails, cambered decks, and contoured slatted seats add grace notes, while the fiber glassed 6mm bottom panel will absorb years of groundings in shoal water.

Shipping Information

We ship our boats via courier shipping with first-to-final-mile delivery, which means that your boat will stay on one truck and will not change hands from our door to your door. After you place your order, we will contact our network of couriers and/or put it out for bid, and contact you with cost and delivery estimates. Depending on your boat's destination, this process may take several weeks - the further from our location, the longer the process may take. We ask that you inspect your boat for any shipping damage prior to signing for and accepting the delivery.

Please be aware that these are large, premium boats requiring special handling. We’ve provided an estimated shipping cost, but the final amount may vary depending on distance, delivery location, and the transporter we secure for your order. Kenco does not profit from shipping—charges reflect only the actual delivery expense.

As of May 2026, we have had to adjust our shipping policy regarding boats and paddleboards. Due to increasing difficulty in finding a carrier to deliver west of the Mississippi, we have removed those states from our boat shipping options. If you are located in one of those states and are interested in a boat, please contact us by phone or email to discuss options for getting a boat to you, and we'll do our best to find a shipping company that can get it there.

Due to its size, the estimated shipping cost for one boat/paddleboard is

$399.00 USD
