At 14' long, the Sacandaga is a capable tandem canoe typically paddled sitting comfortably high. She’s at home on twisting streams and large lakes (even in some challenging conditions). An exceptional choice for portaging or trips to backwater ponds. The Sacandaga is popular due to its great paddling characteristics, exceptional capacity, outstanding stability and light weight which facilitates easy loading on any vehicle.

The Sacandaga 14 tracks (goes straight) with the best of them. The shallow V hull instantly responds to steering strokes. Stability is exceptional -- great for families and even standing to fly fish. The Sacandaga 14 holds its line well in wind and waves. Most paddlers are comfortable in whitecaps and even find it fun. Surprisingly quick and agile, paddlers love the Sacandaga in all kinds of conditions. The light weight is best in its class and can usually be loaded by one person. The moderate tumblehome makes paddling more productive -- and with less elbow grease.

Traditional contoured cane or webbing seats cradle your tush. Matching backrests are available as an option -- they pop on and off in two seconds without tools.  Stability is a non-issue. Bring the kids, dogs, friends, neighbors and the entire fourth grade class (maybe not).  Unwind for truly relaxing, confident and stress free paddling.

Moderate tumblehome makes paddling easy without reaching. Scupper spacers are standard (aesthetically pleasing, drain water easily and strengthens gunnels). Stong grab loops at bow & stern. Several seat options. Two flotation choices. Ultralight rot resistant Cedar decks and thwarts. Shallow V hull for stability and tracking. Dozens of colors and customizing options.
